dr zhivago in the flesh! he was part of the receiving line for the LACMA Tutankhamun reception. :) my dad said something to him in arabic, and then introduced me, and he took my hand and kissed it. i think there is nothing more charming and flattering, as a woman, than having a true gentleman kiss your hand. i very much wish it was still in style!
I'm 34, half-Egyptian, and Californian to the core. I'm a Christian, which is sometimes disconcerting—to me, I mean. There are many things about Christianity, at least as it is presented in the 21st century Western church, that make me cringe, but Jesus Christ is not one of them.
